FAQ’s

General

  • No. Unless explicitly stated, my classes are open to all levels, from complete beginners to seasoned practitioners.

  • For Meditation

Most clothing is suitable, although the more comfortable the better. You may like to have a layer, such as a jumper, shawl or blanket, as the body temperature tends to drop when sitting still.

    For Yoga

Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and stretch. Some people wear baggy, loose fitting bottoms and a t-shirt. Others prefer form-fitting stretchy leggings and tops.

As you move through a class you can get warm and sweat so it’s good to wear clothes that keep you cool. Yoga is normally done barefoot, but socks can be worn for the relaxation phase. You might also like to bring a jumper for relaxation, when the body rapidly cools down.

  • Please try to arrive 10 minutes before the start of the class to allow yourself time to collect props, settle and relax.

I understand lateness is often unavoidable, but to avoid disruption or injury, latecomers arriving at in-person class more than 10 minutes after it has started will be turned away.

  • For online classes

Yes, you will need to make your booking at least 20 minutes in advance of the class start-time to receive the Zoom link for the class.

    For in-person classes

No, but there is the option to book all scheduled classes online up to 30 minutes before the class start-time. However, please note that any booking cancellations need to be made at least 4 hours before the class start-time, otherwise the late cancellation policy will apply.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of the class so you have plenty of time to get settled.

Corporate

Virtual Classes

  • Yoga

It is not necessary to have a dedicated gym/fitness area. Yoga sessions can take place in any room with clear floorspace, adequate for the number of participants and their mats. You will ideally need about 1.5m x 2.2m of space per person.

A location that allows participants some privacy, and where they will not be reminded of their inbox/phone/to-do list is preferable.

A boardroom, meeting room, canteen or courtyard can all make suitable settings.

    Meditation

It is beneficial to encourage people to step away from their desks for meditation sessions. Somewhere with chairs and where participants will not be disturbed is preferable. A meeting room, board room, or similar quiet space are all ideal locations.

I can also host private group sessions / corporate events in indoor or outdoor venues, including marquees, event spaces, hotels, rooftops, parks and more. Contact me to discuss.

  • Yoga

These classes require mats. If you would like to purchase a set for your team I can recommend some options for your budget.

  • This is defined by the amount of space you have available.

In-person Classes

  • Up to 100 people can join a live stream class.

  • Yes. Virtual classes are live-stream to create a communal experience for the attendees, however, sessions can also be played back later at a time that suits your employees.

Classes at your office may also be recorded to benefit those working from home or other offices. Please get in touch to find out more.

  • A mat is preferable, although those joining the session remotely may find they do not need one if practicing on a rug or carpeted floor.

1-1 and Group Classes

  • In-Person Yoga Class

If possible please bring your own mat. I do have a small number of spare mats available. Please email me if you would like to borrow one.

    Virtual Yoga Class

You may like to invest in a yoga mat, and props such as a yoga block, bolster, strap and yoga brick. I would be happy to offer recommendations.

    Meditation

No equipment is required. Meditation can be practiced standing, lying down, or seated on a chair or on the floor. You may like to invest in a meditation cushion or bench as your practice develops and a blanket can be a nice addition for your comfort.

  • 1 - 1 classes

48-hour Cancellation/Change Policy. In-person classes can be rescheduled without penalty provided a minimum of 48 hours advance notice is given. If less than 48 hours, then the class will not be refundable or transferable.

    Group Classes

You can cancel in-person group class bookings up to 6 hours in advance of the class start time. If you paid from a class pack, your class will be credited back to your account.

Late cancellations (within 6 hours of start of class). I understand that cancellations are sometimes unavoidable – but cancelling late, or not attending at all often stops other students from booking places in that class. If you cancel a class booking within 6 hours of the class start time, the class will not be credited back to your class pack or refunded.
